Kenny Ray Kendall
MARION - Kenny Ray Kendall, 74, Marion, died on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at 10:00 pm.
Kenny was a United States Army veteran.
Kenny is survived by his four children, Bobbi Barnett-Frasz of Fishers, Kristi (Brian) Moore of Gas City, Kelli (Rich) May of Gas City, Kregg Kendall of Gas City; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister, Dottie (Ned) Dugdale of Greentown; and sister-in-law, Shauna Kendall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence V. and Mabel Kendall; brothers, David Kendall and Ronald Kendall; and sister-in-law, Lottie Kendall.
The family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Kenny's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.

MARION - Karen A. Herrera, 77, Marion, passed away at 12:46 pm on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.
Survivors include her daughters, Kelly A. (Rico) Herrera-Horton and Rebecca T. Herrera; grandchildren, Zaman, Richyia, Ja'Vierre, Del'Rea, and Del'Reann; and a host of cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vivencio, parents Wendell and Lela (Imel) Fuller, and brother, Larry A. Fuller.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
On Saturday, June 25, 2022, a funeral service to celebrate Karen's life will take place at the funeral home at 10:00 am. Entombment will be at Gardens of Memory in Marion.

MARION - Gary D. Bailey, 70, of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Marion Health.
In addition to his loving wife Edith, Gary is survived by his siblings, Gregory Lynn Bailey of OH, Gwendolyn Carol Bailey of OH, and Mary Annette Sherman of OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donis and Betty (Young) Bailey; his daughter, Melody Bailey; and his brother, Timothy Bailey.
At the family's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.

GAS CITY - Pamela Jean Kelly, 67, Gas City, passed away at 11:45 am on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Marion Health.
Survivors include her son, Tyler Kelly; sister, Judi (Tony) Columbus; aunt, Susie Stoebe; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Lillian "Tippy" (Lander) Hoss; sister, Linda Aldridge; and nephew, Stevan Aldridge.

Consuelo is survived by her nieces and nephews, Lena Smith of Fort Wayne, Elva Sites of Fairmount, Grace Davis of Oakland, TN, Oscar Rodarte of Marion, Rick Rodarte of Rancho Mirage, CA, Dan Rodarte of Swayzee, special god-daughter, Kristina Schroder, of Sioux Falls, SD, and special nephews, Troy A. Kistler and Daniel C. Rodarte; her sister, Amparo (Carlos) Charles of Hereford, TX, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Felix and Angelita Rodriguez; daughter, Rachel De La Garza; sisters, Elena (Raymundo) Rodarte, Basilisa (Salome) Lopez, Enriqueta Rivas, and Adelina Rodriguez; and brothers, Felix Rodriguez, II, Esequiel Rodriguez, and Nolberto Rodriguez.

Dan was a United States Navy veteran.
Along with his wife of 65 years, Phyllis, Dan is also survived by his children, Pamela (Seamus) Hawkins, Jeffrey (Kelly) Gibson, Joe (Maggie) Gibson and James Gibson; grandchildren, Shayla (Jon) Caddell, Brendan Hawkins, Jordyn Gibson, Amber Gibson, Adam Gibson, Daniel (Alexcia) Gibson, Levi Gibson, Jonah Gibson, Kristyn Bitner, Morgan Knox, Molly Bitner, Chad (Brenna) Ort, Eric (Desiree) Johnston, Kelly (Dan) Elliott and Brett (Amber) Johnston, along with 8 great-grandchildren.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents Blaine and Amelia (Mueller) Gibson; daughter-in-law, Lora Gibson; and 6 siblings.

Along with her husband Steven, Barbara is survived by her children, Corey Staley, Thomas (Amanda) Williams, David (Victoria) Steele Jr., Christina (Charles) Parkhurst and Rhonda Sue Lynn Desoto; grandchildren, Jade Jones, Anakin (Lilli) Cleaver, Aries Jones, Cameron Parkhurst, Zayne Staley, David Steele III, Keith Parkhurst, Mercedes Staley, Angelina Steele, Snow Williams and Siryn Williams; great grandchildren, Darius Brown, Kharsin Baker and Luke Cleaver; siblings, Dawn Gibson, April Racchio, Stan Lechner, Theresa Jones and David Speight; and several nieces and nephews.

KOKOMO - Marjorie Ann Butts, 87, Kokomo, passed away at 11:24 pm on June 17, 2022, in her home.
Marjorie is survived by her children, David (Shelley) Butts and Laura Moore Oldfather; grandchildren, Leslie M. Moore, Shelby R. Collins, Shawnee L. Butts, Jessie D. Butts, Karlie F. Pell, Shane M. Pell, and Victoria C. Bogue; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Maxine Myers; sister-in-law, Lorraine Meeks; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Jennie (Murphy) Richey, husband Eldon Leroy Butts, grandchild, Kain P. Strong; siblings, Donald Gene Richey, Erma Hoover, Donna Marie Newlin, Doris Pyle, Harold Richey, and Roger Richey; and sister-in-law and best friend, Barbara Butts.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bradley Vossberg and staff and Southern Care Hospice. Marjorie absolutely loved her hospice nurse, Jeff (Steve) Louks, RN.

Willow Dean Johnson, 2 days old, passed away at 5:05 am Wednesday June 16, 2022, in IU Health Riley Hospital in Indianapolis.
She is survived by her parents Sean & Victoria (Altherr) Johnson; her sister, Emma Johnson; grandparents, Rick Johnson, Rebecca (Jim) Schmidt and Hilda Altherr; aunts and uncles, Elena Altherr, Gabriel Altherr, Nichole (Luis) Gonzales and Lydia Johnson.

MATTHEWS - Sondra Kay Parker, age 81, of Matthews, Indiana, died at IU Health in Hartford City, Indiana, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
Kay is survived by her husband Alfred Ben Parker, Jr.; her sister, Sue Ann Ruddick; nieces, Trisha and Julia of Missouri; cousins, Mark, Rick, Dave, and "Cork" Walters of Matthews, Dona Hunter and Jan Olinger of Northern Indiana, and John Lawvere and LaRea Slater of Upland.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Ruth Anna Lawvere.
Kay loved playing golf, going to Panama City Beach, Florida, and watching IU basketball and women's sports.
There will be a memorial service honoring Kay's life at a later date.

Esther M. Bragg passed away June 19, 2022 at the age of 92 at IU Blackford Hospital.
Esther is survived by her son's, Cliff (Lois) Bragg, Scott Bragg, both of Upland, IN; daughter-in-law Lori Bragg of Hartford City; grandchildren Nikki (Todd) Roush, Clay (Sarah) Bragg, Andy (Randi) Bragg, Melinda (Steve) Kinsey, Travis (Raeann) Bragg, and Curtis Bragg; she is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Esther is preceded in death by both her parents Ernest and Georgia (Spurgeon) Wendt; husband Gail Bragg; sons, Jeff Bragg, Joe Bragg, and Jim Bragg; grandson Michael Bragg; sisters, Betty Albert and Sherry Kay Wray; brother Jack Wendt.

ADYEVILLE - Bonita S. Myers Sitzman, 77, of Adyeville, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand.
Bonnie was born in Cincinnati, OH, on July 11, 1944, to Herman and Lucille (Dotterweich) Van Winkle, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her two daughters, Stephanie (Jeff) Dilger of Mariah Hill and Debra (Todd) Dauby of Tell City; one sister, Judy Seifrig of Bristow; two brothers, Gary Van Winkle of Mitchell and Michael (Jane) Van Winkle of Ferdinand; a sister-in-law, Sherry Van Winkle of Ferdinand, a son-in-law, Steve Rusher of Fordsville, KY; seven grandchildren, Ross and Claire Dilger, Phillip, Adam, and Elizabeth Dauby, Tony and Brandt Rusher, and 4 great-grandchildren, Addison, Savannah, Steven, and Andrew Rusher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Lucille (Dotterweich) Van Winkle; husbands, Elvin L. Myers and William "Bill" Sitzman; one step-daughter, Brenda Rusher; a brother, Robert L. Van Winkle; a brother-in-law, Ralph Seifrig; and an infant sister Mary.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Meinrad Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 22, at 10:00 CDT. Burial will be held at St. Isidore Church Cemetery, Bristow.
Visitation will be held at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand on Tuesday, June 21, from 3:00 to 7:00 CDT and on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00 CDT at the church.

MARIAH HILL - Isabel M. Gessner, 94, of Mariah Hill passed away Monday June 13th at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.
Surviving are one daughter, Ruth (Kenneth) Koenig of Mariah Hill, and one son, David L.(Carol) Gessner of Mariah Hill. One son-in-law, Tom Fleck of Ferdinand. Ten grandchildren, Scott Koenig, Craig Koenig, Janelle Mueller, Jodi Jaynes, Kelly Mehringer, Matthew Gessner, Stephen Gessner, Luke Fleck, Kyla Wagner, and Alyssa Fleck. Seventeen great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Vernita Rickelman of Mariah Hill, and Evelyn Dilger of Evansville. Two brothers, Father Donald Dilger and LeRoy (Pat) Dilger both of Evansville.
Isabel was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Elnora (Kern) Dilger; her husband Leo J. Gessner; a son, Daniel Gessner and a daughter, Donna Fleck, a grandson Chris Koenig, her parents, and a brother, Norman Dilger.
A mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday June 17th in Mary Help Of Christians Church, with Reverend Paul Nord and Father Donald Dilger officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.

Mary is survived by two grandsons, Zachary Mayhall (Lindsey) of Evansville and Kyle Mayhall (Kassandra Brown) of Evansville; great-grandchildren, Peyton Mayhall and Cooper Mayhall; niece, Vicki Witsman (Rudy); and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Mayhall.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Alice (Wells) Morris; husband Ervin D. Mayhall; son, Aaron Mayhall; and brothers, Gene D. Morris and Lloyd V. Morris.

He is survived by his daughters, Destiny Curtis and Everly Hanaway; his siblings, Sherry Ceballos and her husband, Richard, Terry Hanaway, Patricia Hanaway, and Jolinda Arning; his best friend, Doris Curtis; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Indiana. Burial will follow in Buffaloville Cemetery.

Sharon Whitney Erwin
FISHERS, IN - Sharon Whitney Erwin, 83, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Newburgh and Rockport, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Independence Village Fishers South in Fishers, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents O.C. Whitney and Myrtle (Judd) Whitney; husband, Paul David Erwin in 2011 and her sister, Martha (Whitney) Mudd in 2012.
Sharon is survived by her son, Chad Erwin and his wife, Andrea of Fishers; twin granddaughters, Claire and Quinn Erwin; niece, Carol Fuchs; nephew, Noel "Bud" Mudd; and many wonderful extended family and friends.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Shiloh Cemetery near Rockport, Indiana.

GRANDVIEW - Rose Mariee Rust, 84, of Grandview, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Dorothy (Nix) Fortwendel; husband, Marion Rust in 1992; Brother, Paul Gerald Fortwendel.

She was preceded in death by her parents Christ and Ida Louise (Price) Kuzmanoff; an infant daughter, Chloe Dippel; four brothers, Chris, Richard, James, and Russell Kuzmanoff.
She is survived by her husband, Matt Dippel of Huntingburg, a daughter, Madeline Dippel of Brooklyn, New York; a son, Will Dippel of Bloomington; one brother, Jeff (Susan) Kuzmanoff of California; two sisters, Kathryn (Jim) Russell of Illinois, Nancy Kuzmanoff (significant other: Mark Detert) of Crown Point, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Marsha Kuzmanoff of Griffith, Indiana and Anna Kuzmanoff of Grayslake, Illinois.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.

Martha Hemmer, age 88, passed away on June 9, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her parents, A. Herman and Meta A. (Uebelhack) Wittman, her brothers Robert and Herman Wittman, and her husband of 65 years, Alfred L. Hemmer.
She is survived by her two sisters, Mary Ann Weisheit and Pauline Marshall, as well as her two sons and their spouses, Greg and Becky Hemmer, and Jeff and Michele Hemmer; four grandchildren, Ryan Hemmer, Caitlin Keesler, Anna Hemmer and Andrea Kern; and four great-grandchildren, Brynn and Briar Hemmer, and Nathan and Emmaline Keesler with an additional Keesler great granddaughter on the way.

A joint celebration of life service will be held together with his great grandson Jenson, at the Montpelier School gymnasium, 107 E. Monroe St., at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2022, with Pastors Troy Kaufman & Les Bantz officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier. Military rites will be conducted by the Millard Brown American Legion Post # 156.
Friends and family who will be attending the services please enter school at the angle drive, door # 2. The north (Civic Center) & west parking lots may be utilized for those not going to the cemetery. Franklin Avenue will be saved for race car parking only. Those wanting to join the procession to go to the cemetery please line up on Adams Street. Golf carts are also welcome in the procession.

MONTPELIER - Jenson Allen Reynolds, age 5, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 8:15 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2022, after a tragic accident that took place at his great grandpa Jake's house, where an impaired driver took his life, and his great grandpa's life.

MARION - Jessica Jane Turner-Angel, 33, Marion, passed away at 11:17 am on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.
Jessica is survived by her parents Troy Riggs and Tina (Turner) Gabbard; husband, Michael; daughters, Halo Angel and Serenity Angel; sister, Whitney Potter of Marion; brothers, Skylar Kelisz of Marion and Troy Riggs, Jr., of Plainfield; grandmother, Sue (Max) Roark of Gas City; paternal grandparents, Mike (Beverly) Riggs of Marion; mother-in-law, Sue Kennedy of Morristown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Mike Turner, and aunt, Amy York.

MARION - Rickie Gene Shepherd, Sr., 65, Marion, passed away at 6:50 pm on Friday, June 3, 2022, at Marion Health.
In addition to his loving wife Regina, survivors include his daughters, Tina Brewer of Fort Wayne, Stephanie Foster of Marion, and Amanda Thompson of Indianapolis; sons, Richard (Amy) Shepherd of Indianapolis and Rickie Shepherd, Jr., of Huntington; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; step-son, Michael Entsminger of Marion; sister, Imygean "Sissy" Shepherd of FL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Marie (Davis) Shepherd; daughter, April; brother, Danny Shepherd; and sister, Nancy K. Davis.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1321 E. 39th St., Marion, IN. Pastor Ray Kughen will be officiating.

Jake was preceded in death by his parents David Edward Wilds and Lula Belle (Reece) Wilds, and siblings, Gladys Linebarger, Reba Jones, Faine Wilds, David "DC" Wilds, Bernice (Harold) Shields.

Meredith "Gene" Pearson
KOKOMO - Meredith 'Gene' Pearson, 86, Kokomo, died the evening of Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo surrounded by his family.
Gene is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marceda and his two sons, Rick Pearson (Debra) and Greg Pearson (Marsha Sanders) and grandchildren Tyler Evan Pearson, Audrey Ann Pearson, Madison Alexandra Pearson (fiancée Kit), Matthew Austin Pearson (girlfriend Lindsay), and Thomas Gene Pearson (fiancée Evelina). One great-granddaughter, Kai Esley Pearson. Four additional family members Cameron Sanders, Nolan Sanders (Ashley) and baby Theodore. Along with brother-in-law John Deardorff and several nephews and a niece.
Family members that have preceded Gene in death are his sister Mildred 'Mick' Chapman, brother-in-law Richard 'Dick' Chapman, sister-in-law Leonette Deardorff, his parents Audrey Alice (Collins) and Harry Raymond Pearson, as well as Raymond Wyant, who Gene considered his brother.
Friends may visit with the family from 4 - 8 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, Indiana. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Davidson officiating.
Burial will take place in Sunset Memory Gardens.
